Hey mom!!
Things are going good for me. Ya it has actually been REALLY warm here. I dont understand haha. It hasn't snowed at all yet. Apparently it is supposed to snow on thursday? At least that is what people tell us. But we will see, during the mornings it is chilly and at night. But during the day its like 70-80. It is really warm for November. My companion wants it to be REALLY cold, apparently he likes it like that. I'm not too excited haha. But it's supposed to start cooling off a lot this week. And also another thing that happened, Daylight savings ended or whatever. So we jumped back an hour, and now when we wake up its already daylight at 630 and yesterday it got dark at 530, like pitch black. So that is exciting.
Ya i think the mission is different with everyone. It depends how you look at things, and how you look at the things that are kinda thrown your way. I have known Elder's that have gone home and call back and like check up see how things are doing. Or Elder's i have heard about that after they are released they just cry for hours, cuz they can feel the mantle get lifted off.
Last week we went to the Olympic Training Center. It's here in Springs. It was way cool. And we saw people training and stuff. I will send a few pictures so you can see :)
Also, yesterday was the coolest day ever. We had the opportunity to meet an Apostle of the Lord. Russel M. Nelson came to Colorado Springs and all the missionaries in the mission came together and he talked to us. And we got to shake is hand. It was incredible. I can't really describe how amazing it was. When i shook his hand, you could just feel the power and authority that that man had. It just reaffirmed how these men really are called of God. Elder Nelson is like the smartest person i have ever met. He is a genious. He knows Spanish fluently, hebrew and greek. He just took the scriptures and disected them. And told us all these crazy things, and how it compares to the Hebrew and Greek version and all this crazy stuff. The man is genious. You could just tell he was a man of God. It was such a cool experience. :)
Well i guess that is all i have for this week. I love you all!! I will attach some pictures.

Hey mom!!
This week was pretty good. We had 2 investigators at church and that was awesome!! So we are really excited for that. We had zone conference this past week and it was just kind of a crazy week. But i enjoyed it. Well funny thing is, we had our carpet cleaned by a member this past week and iguess he moved our couches and stuff and he found my camera. Man i was so happy. I didn't lose all my mission pictures after all. Ya i had only 1 SD card. So maybe i will get a 2nd one or something just in case. But i will send a couple pictures today of the past months or so. I did get my Halloween Box, thank You :) Tell mckaye as well. The cookies were deliciuos. I was a little confused why 2 of the chocolate chip cookies were wrapped in seran wrap. haha. But they were all good. We enjoyed them so thank you :) We had quite the party last night. haha. Cuz we had to be in at 6 and it was fun. We bought like pizzas and stuff the day before and made those. We wore our costumes too ha. IT was cool too, cuz we went to go visit a family after church and they fed us Posole. And it was delicous. I had like two bowls, and man i could just keep eating it.
We Didn't have a trunk or treat or anything because i guess like last week we had a baile del sombrero. And so that was the halloween party aparently for the branch. But the english ward did one on saturday, but we didnt go.
Man every one is leaving!! That is super crazy. But they don't leave for like a couple more weeks now right? I feel like the holiday season is going by a lot faster. I can't believe that it is already November!! WOW!! And guess what? It hasn't even snowed in the city yet, well at least where i ahve been. There is snow on the mountains, but apparently it always snows on halloween and it didn't. And today is a little cloudy and it was sprinkling but no snow. So i think it might be a little milder year, but still, i feel like it's freezing ha.
Well not a bunch of stuff is new. I'm going to try attaching pitures so hopefully that works. I love you all. And thanks for everything.

Hello Mother
I am doing good this week. My companion is pretty cool. He is goofy so it makes working with him really fun. Yes I bought a new bike, i was just trying to avoid this question haha. It broke, just the derailer hanger. So it's getting fixed and i will get it really soon. It's a REALLY nice bike, and the guy who is fixiing it is a member and really nice. He isn't charging me labor just for the parts, so it's going to be really cheap. But don't worry it's really good!! Yes i still have the Jcpenny jacket, i havent used it yet. But its started to get really cold. The other day it was raining and apparently snowed in other places. Around us it was like 35 40 degrees or something. So it's coming :) haha. Thank you i am picking up my package today, did you call the mission office? Cuz they called me, and hopefully I don't get in trouble for ordering a package haha. But we will see. Idk why i put the house number haha. I didn't even think about it.
Things are good. My new companion is really funny. He reminds me a lot of Ray Dandridge and Rick Parkerson. So it is really fun. He is really goofy so it makes working pretty fun. The only thing is, is that his Spanish isn't very well, cuz he went home. So i'm depending pretty much on me now. So it's pretty intense sometimes. But i love the guy he is awesome. Oh ya, no new pictures. Guess what, as well as all my bike problems last transfer, i lost my camera, I have looked everywhere and i dont know where it is. So... Ya. Lost all my pictures and everything. But hopefully i will be able to find it, pray that i do. Last transfer was just crazy!! haha.
Hey i look forward to a halloween package! :) We have to be in at 6 on halloween so who knows what we will do. Now that there are 4 of us living in that apartment it's pretty fun.
Well I'm doing really good. I'm not dying yet cuz of the weather. But it will soon come. We are excited for this transfer and we are going to see a lot of miracles. I love you all!

Hey Mother
Things are going good. I'm staying In Colorado Springs. I think i could be here for a while but we will see. I'm with a new comp, Elder Bailey. Its funny cuz every transfer i have a new companion. So that is kinda cool. I haven't bought any warm clothes yet. I'm still using the jacket I found and it keeps me pretty warm, when i need to use it. Apparently it always snows on Halloween here. So i'm expecting first snow in a bought two weeks or so, and then it will just be crazy cold from then on haha. And everything is going fine with me. I'm healthy, so no need to worry :)
I'm excited for this transfer cuz it will be Halloween and Thanksgiving!! I'm excited cuz i talked with some members already and they wanna play some football on thanksgiving. So i'm excited for that. We have one more companionship here in Springs. So 10 missionaries total. It's crazy!! But we got a car so we will be able to drive around a lot more and stuff and go to different places that haven't been tracted in a while. And I will still be living in the same apartment, but now there will be two companionships. So Elder Guzman and his greenie and then me and Elder Bailey. So it should be fun.
Ha I never saw that dragon movie, but i have heard about. Being in Springs you just see things. Like when we go to Walmart and just different places you seen ads and stuff. So i know some things are coming out, but not very much. Like i know nothing about the new electronics. We talked to this one Kid that we just met on the streets and he told us all this new stuff that is coming out and like blew our minds haha. We are still sheltered. That movie looked it could be cool though! Thats cool things are changing around in the Ward. People getting married and such. Man i wonder how crazy things will be when i get back, i can't even imagine.
Oh today, cuz we are in Springs, we get to go greenie tracting. The greenies arrive today and then we have to go tracting with them at like 230. So that will be fun. I remember doing that. And i remember who i went with so its pretty exciting stuff.
Well i guess that is all, remember I'm staying in the same apartment, so you can still send stuff there. I love you.

Oh and i'm buying a book off amazon to help me with my spanish, just so you kno

Hello!!
I'm doing good. Things are going better so nothing to worry about!! :) Man sounds like you had a pretty busy week!! Glad Things are going good though. :) Man time just flies by doesn't it? Before I know it I will be at a year. I can't believe it!!
Things are going good in Springs. It's starting to get really cold, ha well for me. Like this morning we walked to the Libray and it is really cloudy and was sprinkingly, i'm guessing it was like 50 but with the Wind Chill it was about 40-45. So pretty nice. I really like it but at the same time it's just starting haha. Umm just so you know, no i took out that 40 bucks because the bike i was using broke so i thought hey i can fix it and ride it, and so it got fixed and cost 45 bucks. So i paid it and then two days later something else broke. So i was really frustrated. I just have the worst luck with bikes. So i feel really bad having to use more money to buy a bike, I'm sorry! :(
I really like Sunday's. We still work and everything, but i like being able to go to church and stuff. It's fun. But at the same time Sunday's are hard cuz your trying to get people to church, find rides, and things like that. 3 Companions is definately way different then it was in the MTC. haha. It's pretty crazy. Idk if i will be staying here in Springs, i had a little feeling i might be going to Alamosa again. But we will see. I will most likely stay here. And if i do i will probably be with Elder Guzman again and now there are going to be 4 people living in our apartment when transfers start, so that is probably gonna be crazy. I'm probably gonna be buying some winter clothes today. i found a sweater thing that i have kind of been wearing, but i might buy some other things today. So we will see.
I kinda had a really cool expereince last week. But i will be sharing that with you later!! I might buy like some pull up bar thing or something too. Cuz man I'm getting fat haha. I need to start losing weight!! I hate it!! But i have just been accpeting it haha. But now i just wanna lose it all!!
What else is pretty cool that happened this past week. Oh ya i really like Wheat Thins I found out. I think i told you, but it's weird, ever since i have been on my mission i like things that i didnt use to like. I love Shrimp now. I have eaten it a bunch. And like just little things, I just eat it haha.
Umm well I guess that is all for me. Thank you for all you do and all the sacrifices. Sorry for just having the worst luck with bikes in the entire world haha.
Love you all

Hey mom!
Happy Late Birthday.
Man its starting to get COLD up here. Haha. At least for me. Like yesterday morning when we were gonig to conference it was like 49 degrees and the member taht gave us a ride had the windows down the whole time. Its like a 15 min drive haha. It was cold!! And at night when the sun goes down it gets really cold. So i'm probably gonna go out a buy a light jacket or something, cuz i dont even have one of those. But Just so you know.
Conference was awesome!! I especially enjoyed the Priesthood session. I thought that one was AMAZING!! And like every talk was just powerful. Elder Kearon's talk in the priesthood session was really awesome too. And then yesterday it was a little bit harder to get things out of conference cuz we were in our normal building and we watched it in spanish. So i dont know how much i retained from it, but when the talks come out i'm definately gonna read them. They were still really powerful. I'm just not fluent in spanish yet :)
Yesterday in between sessions the president of the branch showed us some mormon messages cuz we havent seen anything. And there is one that i really liked, its poweful. Its called Forgiveness or something like that. Look it up on youtube if you havent seen it, its really good. Its about a guy Named Chris williams i think. Also go online to mormon.org and look at the new commercials the church has. They are really cool. They are showing them in springs but we ahvent seen any so they showed us some yesterday. Cuz like i said Springs is a testing spot. There are bilboards foro mormon.org too. So its really cool!!
Ahhh the mail man, man that was just a huge pain. Because our names werent on the thing like when you open the box. He was sending everything that he recieved back. And you would think he would notice it changing cuz it switches pretty much every 6 weeks. But for some reason he decided to do that, man so annoying. I feel bad for everyone that sent letters. Sorry!! But ya we talked to the guy and he said for now on he will leave any letter that says Elder in it. So you can send it back to my house if you want. But there are only two weeks left in the transfer so just so you know. Oh ya and we ahve another comp with us for these last 2 weeks, due to some circumstances. SO that should be interesting. His name is Elder camarillo!! Well i guess that is all for this week.
Things are going good.

Hello Mother and Father!!
Yep I'm doing great. I know its been a while. But i went to this leadership training thing monday tuesday and wednesday. It was from like 7am to 5pm. So We have P-day today and then another one on Monday!! So this week will go by fast especially with Conference coming up.
This transfer has been the worst with mail so far. Also for the fact i think my mail man screwed something up and was sending mail back. Because he didnt think anyone lived there? This has been happening for like the past week. So that is kinda frustrating. So to anyone that got a letter sent back that is why.
This Leadership Conference was the most amazing thing i have ever attended. It's so crazy to see. The mission is changing, as well as the church. The church is putting out a new program on mormon.org and they have a bunch of commercials. I dont know if you have heard of it. But Springs is one out of the 7 places that they are testing it out in. It is really cool. But the Leadership Conference. Man i cant even describe how amazing it was. How strong the spirit was. My testimony was so strengthened on like everything. The 2nd day was the best. We talked a lot about the Book of Mormon. And it really is true how the Spirit only testifies of Truth. Becuase i dont think i have ever felt the spirit as strongly as i did on that day. Just the whole day was FILLED with the spirit it was amazing.
And on Monday night we applied what we had learned and we went to an investigators house and we knelt down to pray at the end and asked her to pray. She gave a sincere prayer and at the end, she just said i feel a burning in my chest, man the spirit was so strong. We are actually learning these new lessons that the Church has put out. And as we have seen the more we use them and what we have learned, the more success we have. And it is so true!! SO i'm super excited to share this with everyone. Man it was an amazing 3 days. Super exhausting but rejuvinating at the same time. Oh and Im SO EXCITED for conference. Wow it is gonna be an amazing weekend!!
Well I'm trying to think of what else i can write to you. This week was a long and fun week. But i will be writing you again on Monday. But if maybe you could send me some stamps that would be cool. Well i love you all.
Have an amazing weekend!!

P.s. I'm not quite sure which mconkie it is. I will try to find out.

Hey mom!!
Ya this week was pretty good actually. I liked it a lot. I had a really cool experience when i was on companion exchanges. We were just tracting some houses and we knocked on this ladies house and her door was open and she yelled. "are you the mormons or jehovahs"? SO we told her and she came to the door. Well her screen door was kinda broke so elder Alonso offered to fix it, so as he was fixing it she let me inside and i began talking with her. I found out that missionaries had passed by a bunch of times but she had never let them in. So i asked her, well what made you let us in? And she looks at me and says, "well you have red hair, and i really like red hair" (Oh by the way this lady is in her 70's or so) And so i was just like wow well thank you. (So then i thought well man maybe the Lord used me to get into her house.) So we kept talking and we started talking about the church and the apostasy and restauration and everything. And the spirit was super strong, and she just looks down and says "I have never heard this before." And so at the end we invited her to here the lessons and have the missionaries continue to come by, and she just paused for like a minute looking down, and says ya they can come by next week cuz this week im gonna be out of town. So that was a really cool experience that i had that i liked :)
Also, yes i fixed my bike thank goodness!! So we started riding bikes and then the next day.... it got stolen!! hahaha!! Awesome i know :) But Luckily, one of the elder's that went home left his bike, the only thing is that i have to buy new peddles for it haha. So i think i will doing that today.
Also yesterday we ate dinner with the son of Bruce R. McKonkie. Who is actually the stake president of our stake. So that was really cool. After we ate dinner we just talked and asked him questions and he shared with us a bunch of things so that was awesome. Oh ya, so we had stake conference yesterday as well. It was pretty cool. I think it was for like 2 other states as well. Like all the stakes in those states. Cuz it was broadcasted. And Elder Perry and Elder Ucthdorf talked to us. As well as 2 other people but Im not quite sure of there names. So ya this past week was pretty fun and exciting I definately enjoyed it :)
Last P-day we went to the dance place but its a specialty dance. Its a brazilian fighting dance called Capoeira. Or something like that. i heard there are crazy videos on youtube so you can look and see what we were TRYING to do. haha. Its really cool cuz one of the ZL's here is from Brazil and there is a member that is actually in charge of the class and owns it and stuff. So he did a session with us for free and everything. It was really fun.
Well i guess that is all for this week. I love you all and thanks for everything you do :)

Hello mother!!
Things are going good for me. Thanks for all the news!!
When it comes to flushing in there are like a few reasons i think, but then again I'm not exactly sure cuz its the Lord. But the missionaries could not be having success, something might have happened. Or ya i dont really know haha. I kinda new my comp, he was in Garden City which is like an hour from Dodge. And so i met him when we had zone conference last transfer. So ya he is pretty cool. Ya im probably gonna start needing some winter clothes coming up in the next couple weeks maybe. Right now the weather is perfect!! I love it. We go tracting and there is a breeze and its like about between 75 and80 and then in the mornings and nights its a little colder, i think. But its great. It gets dark here pretty early and is gonna get darker and darker so we have to be careful with what we do. I think my suits are good? Haha. They are pretty dirty. I havent dry cleaned them at all yet. My blue one is probably in better shape. They are fine i just dont wanna dry clean them cuz they are expensive so i think i will be good for a little. My tracting charcoal pants have rips in the bottoms but nothing bad i just keep wearing them. I will let you know when they disenegrate. And YES they all still fit thankfully :) haha.
Man that is crazy about all the missionaries leaving. The time just flies by. Its crazy. I have a feeling once we hit Oct time is just gonna fly on by because of all the holidays and stuff. But who knows. Ya i heard alittle about the BYU airforce game. I wish i could have gone haha. Being here we meet ALOT of military workers so that is kinda cool. The Branch here is awesome. I love it. There are just tons of different ethnicities. Peru, el salvador, puerto rico, colombia. So that is really awesome. Spanish is getting a lot better i think. I'm starting to learn a lot of new words to try to help me.
I'm trying to think if any crazy things happened this week. But i dont think so. Things are going good. Oh ya idk if i said, but my bike broke this week. So we have had to walk ALL week. Which made it really hard, but a member is gonna help me fix it today. So thats good. Well i guess thats all. Tell everyone i love them and miss them!! Until next week

Hey mom!!
Things are pretty good. The reason I'm emailing today is because Monday is labor day and its transfers. So we actually checked transfer calls today, and then our regular P-day will be on monday. We just cant email because the libraries will be closed.
But yep, looks like I'm headed over to Colorado Springs now. haha. I just had "to get the heck out of dodge" apparently. I'm going to be flushed in AGAIN. haha. We will see how that goes. I'm going to be with a companion that has been serving in garden, his name is Elder Guzman and he is from Bolivia. So we will see how that turns out.
This week has been pretty cool. We did Companion Exchanges this past week and that was fun. I'm trying to think of all the amazing things that happened this past week, but honestly it was just a normal work week. Elder Kelley's birthday was yesterday we didnt really get to celebrate it haha. One of the investigators here actually had us over for dinner on Thursday for his Birthday. It was really good.
We found a couple of investigators this past week. We are still working hard. Unfortunately we didn't have people at church this past sunday. It's frustrating. I don't really know what to write. I guess I will just let you go then. Sorry this email is so short. You will be hearing from me in Springs next week. I'm excited, I heard Springs is tight. oh and one other thing, I think i might be following the pattern of my trainer (E. Castillo) He served in Alamosa for 3 months, Dodge for 1 1/2 months, then Springs for 11 months. haha. I kinda have a feeling i might be staying in Springs for a while. But we will see.
Well love you all!!
Take care.

Familia.
Things are going pretty good this week. The weeks are just flying by for me it seems like. I feel like everything around me is changing and I'm just like staying still or something. Ha it's hard to explain i guess. So i sent quite a few pictures so i hope you got all of those and i hope you enjoy all of those.
Man i wanna go to the temple. I feel like i have forgotten everything ha. Just 6 more months until i get to go on my Jubillee and go to the temple :)
The weather is getting a little cooler now. So its not too bad. But that sounds crazy about the Hail. I wanna see a tornado so bad. But i guess they dont have many in Dodge because its so hilly. But if i go to garden i might be able to see some. They practice the alarm like once a week. So we hear this loud siren like once a week for tornados. Its kinda annoying. I will have to get some pictures with all the cows they got here. Its crazy. Its a completely different world haha but i love it.
Well i honestly dont have a lot of new news. Things are going for me though. Spanish is going a lot better. I love it, i love being able to speak in spanish. ANd i love the spanish culture!! So ya. I guess that is all i have this week. Sorry for not having too much info for you. But i hope that the pictures work for you all.
I love you all

Hey mom!!
Things are going good for me!! Man you guys are having parties like all the time down there it seems like haha. Just kidding. Man i wish i could have costa vida or chipotle. I think the only Chipotle is Pueblo, and or Colorado Springs. There isnt anything like that down here in Dodge city. Just a lot of hispanic fast food and stuff. There is this food place that is supposed to be really good that i havent been able to go to yet called Pastorcito. So i wanna go there soon. And you remember how my last two companions were from El Salvador? Well they always talked about a food called Papusas. And just the other day i had one, they are so bomb!! Man, so i have to find the restaurant here that sells them, cuz not many people know how to make them and apparently they are hard to make but they are SO good!! haha.
I'm so backed up on letters haha. It comes to P-day and i dont even want to write letters cuz i just wanna chill haha. But Slowly but surely I'm still writing them. So keep writing letters cuz i want more letters i love letters :)
We found a lot of investigators this past week. We had like a total of 16 people that we could get to church. And only one of our investigators came. But that is okay. It was way cool. He is guatamalan and we just started teaching him last week. We are gonna pass by again this week and hope that he can go to church this sunday and then we can baptize him!! That would be awesome. K is good, he is only 14 and i dont think his parents wnat us teaching him or anything. So it's been a little hard with him. But were gonna pass by tonight. And R is good, he is just hard to get in contact with. We have quite a few more investigators that I'm working with so its really exciting. I hope we get to see some action sometime soon :) Me and Elder Kelley are doing good. I will send you a couple of more pictures that are pretty cool i guess haha.
Well i guess that is all for this week. I'm trying to think and i dont think anything TOO exciting happened this week. Just the normal. Well i love you all. thank you for all your prayers.

Hey Mom!!
I'm doing good!! We got our key back so we are getting mail and everything is going good.
This past week was pretty good. Like 2 weeks ago we found a lady that is actually from Mexico and we started teaching her. But then we found out she was going back to Mexico so we taught her as much as we could before she left. But we decided to go back one day and talk with her sister and the sisters husband. We have been teaching them and they seem pretty solid. The only is, is that it's hard for them to get work off, and they work on the weekends. So one day this past week we decided to fast for them, so that they would be able to go to church. But the interesting thing that i think i found out, is that God will bless you in whatever way he wants. Cuz that day we ended up finding 2 solid investigators. A guy named R and then a 14 year old kid named K. And I'm just gonna talk about K, cuz he is tight. We started teaching him and he let us in and we just talked. We are good friends, and we have passed by and taught him quite a bit. But this last time that we passed by we watched the Restoration video with him and the spirit was super strong. We asked him to pray at the end, and didnt tell him what to say. His prayer was awesome and it hit me so strong. He said "thank you for having these 2 guys come over and help me through my hard times, bless the unforatunate so that they can have things, and bless people to know, that the Book of Mormon is true, because I believe it to be true.." It was so awesome!! My face just lit up, he is such a solid kid and he loves us. It hit me how real this all is, Being out here and helping people and sharing the truth with them. You never know who you are going to affect in your life. But you need to live in a way so that you can affect people in a good way. I love this gospel and what I'm doing.
So that is kinda my awesome story for this past week. This past week was pretty funny too. We met a lot of intersting people. And one thing that is interesting is that there are a few like Vietnamese people here in Dodge city, that dont speak english or spanish. So sometimes we happen to knock on there doors and they dont understand anything. So this past week that happened to us. And my companion Elder Kelley as we were talking to the asian was just like "Ya my companion smells really bad huh?" and he was just like ya ya ya like smiling. And then Kelley was like "ya he is really ugly i know, okay well bye!" and then we just left haha. I just started laughing cuz i wasnt expecting that at all. It was hilarious cuz he didnt understand a thing, he just agreed with us. Haha.
So School is about to start here in Dodge. College has already started buy like high school and elementary start like this Thursday or something. So that is really weird, now everyone is gonna be gone. One of these days were going on a tour of the meat factories and I'm super excited for that. I'm trying to think of some other fun things that have happened this past week, but I can't really think of anything. Well, I love you all, thank you for all your love and support. You are all in my prayers. Be safe.
Love,

Hey Family!!
Things are doing good here up in Dodge City. It is a little warm and I'm sweating like a pig, but its enjoyable. By the way yes, i did get your package. Sorry for not letting you know. Thank you for the Seeds and the Candy, it's gone. And the stickers and Temple recomend holders. Those are way cool!!
Being flushed is hard. But its getting better. When we first got here we didnt know anyone. And our DL was in Cali cuz he had to renew his papers or something and he just got back. So it was alittle rough. Cuz there was no one here before us. They just threw us in like an add on i guess. So we didnt have investiagtors or anything. So it has been a little rough. But we are doing good i love it, the members are awesome and the people here are great. But this past week was good. We had Zone Conference yesterday and it was awesome. It helped me a lot. We talked a lot about adversity, and then also about these new 8 lessons that they are going to begin teaching us. We went over the first one and it was awesome. It is going to help us teach a lot better and be better missionaries!! :) I'm super excited for it!! Right now we dont have any new investigators. But pray that we can continue to find. I didnt realize how important the ward is when it comes to missionary work. SO keep up the good work your doing. Cuz it helps a lot i promise :) I am in a branch where we are all working together and giving refferalls and everything. It's a lot different then alamosa.
So there is this really cool convert family of about 6 months, but they are english. And we talked to them and we are pretty tight. But like the other day we were tracting in his neighborhood and he saw us and invited us in and we started talking. I found out that his 12 year old son plays the bass, like in orchestra. And apparently he is like the best in Dodge City? Really good or soemthing idk. But i was like I HAVE to come over and play, and he was like ya he is getting his bass the 16 or something. So I'm gonna swing, cuz actually we are having a dinner with him cuz he is inviting all the missionaries. So when we go i'm gonna play!! AHH I'm super excited :)
Well i'm sorry i dont have pictures yet. I need to get like a cord or something that i can plug into my camera, or i will just have to borrow someones. I just forget to ask and bring my camera. So you will get pictures. AHH so you did get the pictures from the manassah days. ahha.Pretty cool huh? E Kelley left the keys to the mail and the house in Garden at Zone conference, so we got new house keys, but not mail keys. So idk what we are going to do, were gonna talk to the mail man today and see if there is something we can do. Otherwise i might not get mail for like 2 weeks or something until we get the key back. Cuz Garden City is like 50 miles away. And we only have a certain amount of miles this month.
Things are going great. I'm learning to love the people up. This is the work of Christ, and i'm greatful to be out here. Thank you for all you do for me and all your love and prayers.
I love you,
Elder David Kingsley

So idk what we are going to do, were gonna talk to the mail man today and see if there is something we can do. Otherwise i might not get mail for like 2 weeks or something until we get the key back. Cuz Garden City is like 50 miles away. And we only have a certain amount of miles this month.
Things are going great. I'm learning to love the people up. This is the work of Christ, and i'm greatful to be out here. Thank you for all you do for me and all your love and prayers.
I love you,
Elder David Kingsley

Hey mom!!
Ya the last week of that transfer was really fun. I kinda decided that my mission is gonna be a mission of firsts. That's why i wanna try like everything i possibly can. And now that I'm in Kansas i really wanna see a tornado or something crazy like that haha. But ya that family back in Alamosa was awesome. I went to say goodbye when i found out i was going to Dodge and Hmo gave me 20 bucks and was like grab something to eat, take care of yourself. I love them. I took a picture with them, so i will have to send that next week or something. They are an awesome family.
This week has been alright. Im not gonna lie, it is REALLY cool being in Dodge City. I love it, it is way different then Alamosa. But ya i have heard about the show Gunsmoke and everything. It's way fun up here in Dodge. Like in alamosa when i left it was like 65-70 degrees during the day. And here it's like 95-100. So it is pretty warm. When we drove out here there was nothing. All we saw was just like grass and sky forever. But when we got to Dodge there are a lot of hills in the city, and the housees are all built on them, so it's really cool. But it makes riding your bikes something to endure. haha. Here in Dodge we have 8 Spanish elder's and 2 english. There is only one english ward and a spanish branch. But we have dinner with the members, and the members feed all 8 of us. Haha. Its pretty crazy, but way awesome at the same time. The Elder's down here are really cool. One of the Elder's that came out with me is here with me again. But when we were in the mission home president switched him to spanish, he is from brazil and knows portugeise too. He is a really cool guy, Elder Varella. The member's are way cool. I was talking with a member who they are both from Veracruz Mexico, and they moved here like 5-7 years ago. So i told them about Stephen but they didnt remember a Kingsley. So they could have missed him or something idk. But they are a way cool family.
My Spanish is definately gonna get a lot better here. One thing that I have noticed here, is that it is the exact opposite of Alamosa. When i was in Alamosa, there were little spots where you knew Spanish lived and the rest were English. Here, There are spots where the English are and the rest are Spanish. Most of the doors we knock are Spanish, with a few english mixed in. And i love it, It is definately way cool. My new comp is Elder Kelley, he is white and really has only been out on his mission for 2 or 3 more months then me? And it has been interesting.. being with him. He is a good guy.
Oh ya!! So they have like 2 meat companies here where they slaughter like 3000 cows a day, EACH. It's crazy. And one thing they do like every week is they like boil the blood or something? So you get this nice RICH beautiful smell for a while. haah. It's cool. I like it up here a lot. I wish it wasn't super hot when we were tracting and stuff. But i heard it starts snowing in October. So if i am still here that will be interesting as well. I think were gonna try and get a tour of one of the meat factories. You get to see everything from the cow being butchered to it getting packaged!! :) I'm excited for that.
Wow i cant believe freddy is starting school, Everyone is starting school and it's so weird for me. I feel like everyone just got out of school and now they are back? Ya it's crazy tomorrow I'm at 5 months and then at the end of this transfer i will be at 6 and something. Time is going fast. But time in the mission is difficult to explain. Cuz sometimes the days go by really slow. And the weeks go by fast. But it's just weird how that all works. So ya, but i guess it doesnt feel like i have been gone for 5 months, that is for sure.
Glad to hear everyone is doing good. That sounds cool about the work out machine. I would be down to use it, but also when i get back I'm possitive I'm gonna start doing P90X again, cuz i saw really good results with that. I really need to start working out up here more. Hey so we have this really weird exercise bike in our apartment. It's like from the 70's and makes NO sense to me, haha. It doesnt work out anything. I will have to take a video of it cuz it's pretty intsense.
Weelll Things are going good up here. It's way fun and the people here are awesome. I love being with the Hispanic culture, learning something new everyday. Thank you for all your prayers, and i look forward to hearing from you next week.
Love Always,
Elder Kingsley

ME VOY a DODGE CITY!! I'm headed up to Colorado Springs tonight and then tomorrow we have actual transfers and I'm going to Dodge City Kansas!! I'm pretty excited for that to be honest. I think my Spanish will get some help after that!! :) But I'm gonna be with an Elder named Elder Kelley. Sounds white to me, haha. So i hope his Spanish is good cuz he can help me. But ya I'm way excited to go to Kansas. It's like a 5 hour drive from Colorado Springs and they are an hour ahead of where I am now. It will be fun getting to know a new area and new people. Cuz i heard Dodge City is like Alamosa, but opposite. Here there are a few spots of Spanish and then a few mixed in. But i heard in Dodge, there a few english spots, and a few mixed in. So I'm really excited for that!!
Sounds like you guys had a fun trip!! Thanks for the pictures :) haha. Good to hear about the weather. Its already starting to get cold in Alamosa. Its like 60 degrees right now and its sunny. So I'm kinda glad i will be getting a way from the cold for a little bit longer. Cuz i think Its still pretty warm in Kansas. And it doesnt start snowing until like October or so apparently.
Investigators.. This past week was hard. You remember the guy who cant get baptized cuz he is not divorced and remarried? Well we were gonna baptize his son yesterday. And he had an interview and everything and was ready to be baptized, but they didnt go to church. So we stopped by there house and he told us he didnt think he was ready to be baptized and blah blah blah. So we didnt have a baptism yesterday unfortunately. But it will be cool to start new somehwere else. Im way excited for that. So the valley, is like all over. Alamosa is part of the valley. Its the San Luis Valley. And it has just a bunch of places. Center, Monte Vista, Del Norte, Sanford, Manassah, Salida, La Jara. Its just a bunch of places, and its called the valley.
So ya about Saturday, it was the CRAZIEST experience. It was cool. So every Pioneer Days, Manassah has this HUGE party. With liike a parade and everything. And So The missionaries from Alamosa and the Missionaries down there, and President and Sister Pfile came down. And we got to be in the Parade!! It was SUPER cool. We walked behind a truck and shook peoples hands that were watching and gave them cards and stuff. But Mannassah is EXTREMELY mormon populated. So when we walked by EVERYONE would scream for us and clap and stuff. I felt like a celebrity. It was amazing haha, I felt super loved. And then on the way back, we sang hymns and stuff. It was a really cool Experience. And after we walked aroudn trying to talk to people. But that didnt go as well as planned. Cuz people didnt wanna listen to us, they just wanted to ride rides and eat and stuff. haha.
But yes i Saw the Palmer Family. It was the weirdest thing!! I was just walking down the side in the parade shaking people's hands and just talking to people not really looking at who they were. Then all of a sudden i look up and i hear "DAVID" and people screaming and I'm like AHHH. And it was Cammie, so i like shoook her hand. And then sister palmer was like ahh i can hug you and gave me a big hug. But I had to keep walking. But it freaked me out, like no joke. I was in shock. I wasnt expecting to ever see people i knew in my mission haha. But then after the parade she came up to me with John and talked to me a little. Tell her sorry if i was a little stand offish or something. iwas just scared and nervous, so i was probably acting a little weird. I didnt even ask about david, haha i felt bad. But she took a picture of me and Elder Olivares.
So nothing much has realy happened this week. Yesterday was cool. We went over to one of my favorite families, the Gallardos. And she made us some cow tongue tacos and some cow brain tacos. They were both REALLY good. I think i like tongue better. But brain honestly was pretty good. I'm glad i got to try it. She knew i wanted to try it so that's why she bought it for me. She bought the whole Cow head and prepared it all and stuff. So it was cool.
Well i guess that is all that is new right now. Super excited to see how this next week goes. Love you all!!

Hey mom!!
Things are going good. This past week went by pretty fast. Its crazy i only have a week left in this transfer and i could be going somewhere. Everyone in the Valley thinks that I'm leaving and to Colorado Springs. But we will see Monday. This past week was pretty interesting and fun. I got a hair cut and look pretty dashing I might say. ha but other then that we have been teaching.
I have a good feeling were gonna have a baptism this weekend. Of a kid, idk if i told you about the family that the parents cant get baptized cuz he is still married but living with a different wife? Like he wants to be divorced but they dont have the money to do it. But him and his kids have gone to church the past three weeks. So we think were gonna baptize him this weekend which would be way cool!! We went to a little member Birthday party and played pin the tail on the donkey and musical chairs. haha. It was pretty cool. I won musical chairs and won some sticky hands :) Also went out to eat with some members that are 19 and 16 and they are way cool guys. But it was funny cuz we were talking about age and they asked me how old i was and i told them 19 and he freaked out. He was like WHAT? ? I thought you were 21-22. And then when he found out he is two months older then me he freaked out even more. And so we went back to his house and he ask his brother and he said 20-21. But i dont belive it haha. I have never looked old in my entire life, i have always looked younger. So it was weird.
And on Sunday it was the Primary program. Which was pretty cool haha. When we first got church there were only like 5 little kids. But later more showed up and so they had about like 10 kids up there, and they sang a lot of the songs in english, so a lot of the people couldnt understand i dont think. And then they talked into the mic and stuff. Haha it was way cool. All the little kids are funny. Man I'm sorry to hear about the weather down there. The weather up here makes me very sweaty unless its cloudy. And it has been really cloudy and rainy this past week. It was like 55 during the day, Awh man it was so nice haha. And I dont know if i told you this last letter, apparently it starts getting cold in the Valley around August. So ya. ha. Well hey i guess thats about all for this week. Until next week.
Love you mom and Dad,

Mother!
Things are going good. So we have a p day today you know, and we just had one on wednesday. But it literally feels like a whole week had passed by haha. Nothing too exciting has happened this past week. It was short, We had like 5 non members come to church on Sunday! It was awesome!! Oh ya, so i had to give a talk yesterday in sacrement meeting. It was my first time actually giving a talk. I have talked in sacrement meeting like 3 times but never supposed to have given a talk. So they wanted us to talk for ten min each. And i was thinking okay i can do that, i did like 20 at my farewell. So i was supposed to talk about prayer and things like that. So i get up there and im talking and do my thing. Then E olivares goes and he does his thing, and he comes down and i ask him "Hey how long did i talk"? And he was like about 4 min!!! HA and i was like WHAT!? To me it felt like i was up there forever talking haha. I guess talking in Spanish is a little different. So next time i talk i will have to make sure i just talk forever even if i repeat myself a lot.
Well it rained quite a bit this past week. it was nice and it made tracting nice too. It rained like 4 days and had cloud coverage. Its the most rain we have had since i have been here. Cuz usually the rain sprinkles for like 5 min and then the clouds disappear haha. But this weekend was nice. I'm trying to think of some funny stories that happened this past week, but i cant remember anything. Man one thing that has happened since i have been on my mission, i have lost my memory. I cant remember doing things or i remember things that i thought was with E Castillo but it was really with E Olivares. haha. Its bad!
JAKE is going to BOLIVIA!? That is SO tight!! Tell him Congrats and I'm super proud of him!! Man that is super super exciting!! We will be able to speak spanish to each other when we get back haha :) Man that time is gonna fly and he is gonna be leaving before he knows it. Tell him that, Cuz i had to wait three months and those three months FLEW!! But its awesome, he is gonna love it. Tell him to write me or something, cuz i dont think i have his address. So just give him my mission address cuz i would love to write him. And Nathan turned in his papers too? What the heck that is so weird haha. Everyone is getting old, and yet I I I Dont even feel old. Sometimes it hits me that I'm really a missionary. I dont feel 19, idk its a weird feeling. And Ray too? Wow that sounds crazy!! I need to write him, i havent written him since i was in the MTC. But I'm glad he is doing good too. he is coming up on his year mark soon, Man thats so crazy to think how fast time flies, at least it feels that way for me.
So just curious, I dont know if you want to try and preserve my bass or not, but if you want you can put those damp its in it to try and help that if you want. And maybe play it a little bit? haha. Cuz when I come back, I'm pretty sure I'm gonna wanna keep playing it. It was weird for some reason right before my mission i really got into orchestral music again and all that stuff. So maybe its supposed to happen like that. Idk But as of right now when i come back i wanna go into some orchestra whether it be MCC or not, i dont care.
Things for me are going good. Its crazy this transfer has flown by. We only have 2 weeks left in the transfer. It flew by. Time is starting to fly by, It's insane. Were working hard to try to baptize and get people to church. Other then that were doing great. I'm loving in out here In alamosa. You guys are lucky you get to go see John and them. That sounds like a blast. You can pretty much do whatever you want now huh? haha. That sounds like a blast!!
Well i love you mom and Dad. i hope you have a great week!!

I LOVE YOU MOM AND DAD!!
So man this week was LONG!! hahah. Only because we worked 8 days without a P-day. And the reason was, cuz for the fourth of July it was on a Sunday and the "day off" was on monday so they wanted us to work on monday. And then we just had interviews with President yesterday so that's why im having pday today. It was long but fast. And this week is gonna fly by cuz we are going to have pday again on monday. So ya it was pretty cool. 4th of July was alright. It was kinda my first holiday out in the mission. We could see some fireworks from our room. I'm doing good though. We should be having a baptism the 17 or 18 :) This past saturday we had D and A's wedding. It was awesome we got to go (they have been investigating since January and just needed to get married) And so they got married and we got to be ushers and help out. And man it was awesome full of tons of mexican food :0 haha im getting so fat! But A is so tight. He is like 40 but we just chill with him and talk, he is like our buddy. So im super excited for that.
Sometime this week Im going to be having Cachete (i think you spell it that way) and Cabeza. Im super excited. One of the members bought a cow head cuz i was wanting to try it, and she said she would make it for me. Cachete is the cheek of the cow, and cabeza is the brain. I have heard it is really good. And Hma G is a really good cook so im excited for that. And there is a little meat shop in town here. So E. Olivares and I and two other missionaries are gonna go there one day for lunch or something and buy some Rocky Mountain Oyesters. Ha. So we will see how that guys. You have to try everything right?
John sent some pictures of Olivia. And man she is BIG haha. Compared to when i saw her!! Thats crazy!! She is way cute too. Same with Alice :) So my spanish is getting a lot better i think. President told E. Olivares to only speak to me in spanish, of course it has happened that way all the time. But were working on it. Im learning a lot and can understand and speak a lot better. Im enjoying it. Who knows if i will stay here another transfer or leave. But either way it will be cool. Eventually i want to go to Kansas, either Garden city or Dodge City, cuz thats where TONS of hispanics are. Like apparently just walking around the majority you talk to are hispanics. So that would help a lot i think. Hmmm What else.... Im not really sure. I guess thats all. But you will be hearing from me on Monday again.
Love ya!!

Dear Madre!!
Things are doing good this past week. To be honest this transfer is going WAY faster then the last transfer. Its pretty crazy how fast it is going. So with that guy R R that we found, found out that he had been taught like a year ago and had gone to church a bunch of times so we were excited. But then we also found out that the reason he wasnt baptized is cuz he is not divorced from his first wife and is living with his new wife. And i dont know exactly why he cant be divorced, i think its just cuz it costs a lot of money, like 600 bucks or something like that. So idk what were gonna be doing for him. Hopefully finding a way to get that resolved. Were needing to find more people to teach, its just hard cuz i feel i have talked to everyone haha. Especially the Hispanics, cuz there are spots where hispanics are heavily populated. Its funny, cuz they all know us. Like yesterday night we had to help a lady move into these apartment complexes "Tierra Nueva". ONLY hispanics live there. And we go there ALL the time, and we werent in our proslyting clothes cuz we were moving stuff. But EVERYONE was watching us two, cuz they knew us, that we are the "Mormons" haha. It was funny. Im kinda getting used to everyone staring at us all the time. Like after this we go to walmart, and everyone just stares at us, its funny. ha.
So we did some service this last week as well helping out the english elders. We Seeded a ladies lawn. Like we had to do everything though. It took us like 4 or 5 hours to doo. But guess what i forgot to doo? haha. You know me mom, sunscreen. I got probably the worst burn i have ever had haha. My neck is peeling super bad and looks ugly right now. But im good. Its funny to cuz i look back and i had a chance to put sunscreen on cuz the lady brought some out, but i didnt, and so i paid the consequences haha. Its not that bad. But i might send a picture sometime. Hey by the way, did you get the pictures i sent like a couple emails ago and stuff? I just wasnt sure if you had.
I guess i had another pretty cool experience this past week. We were tracting and it was getting close to go home, and we were walking by a park and i saw this guy playing basketball. And as soon as i saw him i pictured like how i was gonna talk to him and how everything would play out. So we kept walking and then E. Olivares was like alright lets go back and turns around before we even got to him. And so i turn around and I'm just thinking i need to talk to this guy. So i kinda turn around as were walking and am just looking at him. And E. Olivares is just like what? And I told him I need to go talk to him. So he said okay and we went and did. And I walked over there and started talking to him, and everything happened the way that i had pictured it. We just started chatting about stuff and he was like hey wanna shoot the ball? And he passed hit to me, and just like every little thing and we were just chilling with him and talking to him. And ended up getting a referrall for the English Elder's. It was just really cool, I felt that the spirit realy worked through me then, and it felt really good to listen to the promptings and follow through with it.
Thank you for all the prayers and support. I appreciate and it helps a lot. Thanks for being awesome parents and always being there for me when i need you!! I love you all!! Talk to you later and you have a great week!!

Things are doing good this past week. To be honest this transfer is going WAY faster then the last transfer. Its pretty crazy how fast it is going. So with that guy R R that we found, found out that he had been taught like a year ago and had gone to church a bunch of times so we were excited. Hey Family!!
Its great to hear things are going well down there in the AZ!! Hope you had a good fathers day dad!! Sorry i couldnt send you the super cool thing you wanted. haha. but man this week has gone by really fast actually.
And its amazing how much success i have been having with E olivares. The only thing that is hard for him is that he forgets to speak to me in spanish a lot so i have to remind him. but he is my "greenie breaker" as they call it here. And he is teaching me a lot of things. apparently we didnt do somethings right when i was with E Castillo? So somethings im relearning and try to do better. But really we have had a lot of success this past week. We have like 5 new investigators that we found this past week. its awesome. I feel a baptism this transfer for sure :)
The thing that is really cool. Is when i was with e castillo there was this family that we had been trying to find. But we could never find them. The house that they were supposed to be living in was abandoned. And so then with E Olivares we went to go look for them again, and then i rememberd that they werent there and we were like what the heck? And so yesterday we were going to visit one of the New Investigators we have E. But she wasnt there. So we decided to knock the door above her. And so we did and they told us to come in. We asked him what his name was, and he said R R. And i was like no way? And it clicked. He was the guy we had been looking for, and his whole family was there too. He had been attending church a bunch and was gonna get baptized but then had to work on sundays and so he stopped coming. And so we taught him about the Restoration and he accpeted a date to be baptized July 11th! But he wants us to come back and teach all his family. He has like 8 people living with him that arent members!! how crazy is that!! Its amazing to see how the Lord works and places people in our path, because i know it was no coincidence that we foudn him. Because we had been looking for them for along time. So that was a really cool experience we had yesterday.
We had zone conference yesterday which was really good. It always is. But there is always a super strong spirit at zone conference i love them. i have a feeling this transfer is gonna fly by. Me and E Olivares are getting a long really well and things are going good.
Weather is still warm, sometimes its nice during the day but now its like 85-90. And at night its like 55-60 so thats really nice :) Im gonna die in the winters i know it!! haha. As of right now the only thing i could think that i want is maybe some spanish music cd's? Like Hymns? or something, perhaps spanish hymn arrangements if they have any? Cuz i would rather have those then the normal hymsn. Also if there are some piano arrangements of music? idk. Just types of music. i dont really havea lot. And i would love to listen to maybe some orchestra music like actual orchestra music not hymns. But idk. Ha. Thats all i can really think i want. I dont really need anything. They keep us nice and happy.
Im eating my Mac and Mustard up here. And last week i bought some pickles!! ha The first week i was here i only bought Ramen and mac and cheese, and after taht week i cahnged my mind haha and havent bought it since. i actually can buy some real food. But a lot of times we dont even need it cuz we get fed so much. Which is why im getting so fat haha. im gonna start working out harder this week and trying to eat some healthier stuff so we will see how that goes.
WEll i guess thats it for this week. You will hear from me aagin this coming Monday. Love you all, give Alice a kiss from me :) have a great week.

Well Things are going pretty well up here. We just got our transfer calls today. I'm staying here, in Alamosa. And I'm getting a comp that i have actually had before. The first two days i got to alamosa E castillo was up in Springs for leadership training stuff. So i went aroudn and tracted for a while with him. He is a pretty cool guy. Happens to be from El Salvador too. Im just not sure if he was born there or not. But his name is Elder Olivares. So I am kinda glad i get to be with him. I think he will help me out a lot.
But this past week was interesting. Unfortunately we did more English work then Spanish. But i did get to go visit some members and talk to them and also do some tracting. And go and visit some investigators. And its just cool because i HAD to depend on myself for the spanish. So i think that helped a little. It was just hard not being able to talk to him in spanish during the day. But this past week went by pretty slow for me. I dont know why, maybe just cuz our comps left and things were just different. Idk. But I'm excited to stay down here and get more familiar with the members down here. Cuz i love the members down here. They are awesome and are all willing to help me.
So with work this past week. We foudn some investigators, but not for spanish so it kinda stinks. But i have faith that we will be able to find some people to teach and baptize this transfer. I'm really excited to be with this guy, he was pretty awesome being with me and stuff. But other than that things are pretty much the same. And things are going great down here!!
Congrats with the new Baby!! :) Thats exciting. Wish i could be there to see it. I love you all!! Talk to you next tuesday!!

This week has been alright. Elder Castillo is getting ready to leave. He leaves wednesday and im gonna be getting an english companion for about a week until next transfers which is wednesday. And then i will hopefully get a latino. And im pretty sure i am. so hopefully that works out.
We have a guy that lives above us. He is from puerto Rico. he is super cool and very supportive. They gave him the first lesson but he wasnt interested. But he helps me with my spanish. He went out and bought a book for me on helping me practice spanish and verbs like that. How awsome is that? i love that man. He took us out to dinner on saturday too for elder castillo. So that was really awesome. He loves music too. so i talked to him about different types of spanish music and things like that. Investigators are a little slow this week. Its hard to teach them. But were working hard and trying to get some baptisms. I love our branch. they are awesome and they help me with my spanish and stuff. So things are going well. We actually ate with the Peruvian yesterday again and it was Cau cau? Or algo asi. made with some part of a cow? idk i wasnt the biggest fan. But they knew elder castillo, and i made it so that i could come back and eat with them again even after he left! So im excited for that.
Man sounds like Greer was exciting and relaxing! ha. sounds like a blast to me. The weather up here is actually gettting warm!! its so random! i sweat a lot. it was like 90 or so the other day. And the heat up here is different or something becuase it feels hot to me haha. i think it might be cuz im up at higher altitude or something. But im not sure at all.
well i guess tahts all not a whole lot happened this past week. We were tracting and we tracted into a guy who is hispanic and plays songs of praise i guess you could say. So he invited us in and had a keyboard on the couch and a guitar in the corner. And so i asked if he played guitar and he said yes and asked if i wanted to play... and i was like... uh ya. So he let me play a little and we played a little together and he sang haha. It was pretty cool. then we taught him So hopefully things go well. there are a lot of nice people here. So i love that.
well i guess tahts all. im thinking about you and love ya!

Hello Mama!!
Well i didnt get your letter until today Tuesday. Cuz they wanted us to work on Memorial Day. So we did and so we have Pday today. And then next week will be on monday but then the week after that will be on Tuesday again cuz thats transfer week!
But yes thank you, i got the package saturday i believe. It was nice and tight. I had to rip the box open ha. But we were looking at it, and man it has everything that you will never need haha. Like the inside of a space ship and stuff? It was crazy!! But i like it cuz it has EVERYTHING so hopefully it will help me be able to learn some words and stuff.
Went to grear eh? How was that? Pretty boring without me ;) haha.
Wow im surprised the weather is so low haha. Here its like 75 or so, its getting warmer though. The sun like cooks you cuz your closer to the sun. Im Actually getting a tan, who would have thught right? I look down at my hands and i say whose hands are those? haha. They actually have color, or at least to me they do, and my face is getting a little color. Its weird.
Yesterday was a really good day. We did a lot of tracting and met some really cool people. This older guy and his wife invited us in and we shared the message with them and they werent interested in it, but they gave us food and drinks. haha. It was pretty cool.
I have a horrible memory. E Castillo always asks me like if i remember this or something and I'm just like uh... no? haha. I cant remember anything that happened this past week. Spanish is getting better, I love listening to music in spanish.
Which reminds me, man yesterday i was missing music a lot. I was listening to the guitar in some of the songs, and just like man i wanna play. I wanna play the bass too. I was looking through the book and it had like the staff's and like all the instruments in a syphmony and things like that so i was looking through it.
Things are good, we have a few investigators but were trying to get them to church, its hard!! But were working on it. Hopefully we have a baptism pretty soon :) But we will see, who knows i might get transfered out of here. But i doubt it. I need to stick aroudn for at least one more transfer.
Well i guess thats all, idk if i told you but i foudn my long lost mustard brother!! He loves mustard as much as me! Elder Diaz from Mesa, went to MVT. He is a cool guy he is in my district. He eats mac and mustard with me, he had never heard of it before, but after i showed him he loved it. Im going to convert the world. And with me saying that i feel like i told you before haha. Oh well
Love you all!!

Ay caraye.
Two weeks in Alamosa. Its pretty sweet. You know how i wished before i got my call that i was going somewhere foreign? Well sometimes i feel like I'm in a foreign country haha. I love it though. My spanish, i think, has gotten a little better this past week. And during sacrement i was able to understand a lot more then the first week. So its coming. I still wish i could just speak it but I know that wont happen. At least for a while.
So my Zl's and us decided that I'm just one of the Elders that crazy things happen to, or like crazy experiences. I havent had as crazy as experiences as i did my first week. But we are always running into the weirdest people. haha. I love it. We taught this Guatamalan, but its really hard cuz they kinda speak a different dialect in Guatamala. So they are trying to learn spanish and dont really understand what were saying. so its really hard to teach them because they cant understand. We have taught 2 Guatamalans this past week. so we will continue to see how they do, its hard though ha.
im trying to think of some things that happened this week. This week was good. The days just go by fast. Especially when were in our house at night. i feel like we just get there and then all of a sudden we have to go to bed.
Well it rained this past weekend. So that was kinda cool i guess. Im not a huge fan of tracting in the rain. haha. but im love the weather up here. Its great. Like during the weekend it was 48 degrees or something like that. And i just sat there laughing like wow down in AZ i know its double then this. pretty crazy. Well I'm doing good. Me and my comp are getting a long really well. As a district were going to this place called Zapatta falls? Or something like that. Its supposed to be really cool so i will have pictures next week.
Oh ya. I am definately going to get fat haha. Estoy engordarme. With the amount of food people keep feeding us. They have THE BEST tortillas i just cant stop eating them haha. On saturday i had something i have never had before. I cant even remember the name. Its my comps favorite dish. I didnt even know what it was until after i ate it haha. It was'nt too bad. He said it was kinda like Menudo but not really. It had some type of meat in it and it was like a soupy substance. And this past week i had the best spanish meal i have ever had. It was delicious. I love home made tortiallas. haha
well i guess tahts all for me. i think im gonna attach a few pictures. So hopefully you enjoy those.

Hey family!!
Things are going good, it was good talking to you. And maybe next time me and stephen can talk in spanish or something ha. But ya it hasnt been too long since we talked so not a lot of new stuff has happened. Our apartment is really nice. Its just us two living in it. So we have one room for where we sleep and then our other room where we study. And its pretty nice, i would say nicer then some of the other elder's apartments that i have seen. My companions name is Elder Castillo and he is from El Salvador but has lived in the states for the past couple of years. Things are good with him, i feel he gets frustrated with me sometimes cuz i cant always understand everything he says and everything that i want to say. But it will come, each day my understanding gets better and better, which has been really nice.
Zone conference was actually really good!! There was a lot that i learned. I guess like a couple weeks before we got there we had a general authority come down and do like a mission tour and he kind of changed things around in our mission and like with our stats and everything. So I am apart of like the new generation of things going on in this mission. And i have heard that we are like one of the highest baptizing missions. SO thats kind of cool. Its just really hard down here with the Hispanics. They all are pretty much catholic, with some exceptions, and its just really hard to teach them especially when they arent really open to it. But one thing that the general authority said is that "this mission is on the verge of great things." So i find it interesting that i am out here on my mission at this specific time. So i wonder how that will go.
The weather up here is crazy. haha. Its like between 50 and 60 degrees and its super windy. There hasnt been a day when it hasnt been windy. Also its super dusty, its just dust galore. When we walk anywhere its just a thick dust everywhere. This area is really cool. Its completely different then what I am used to. Tons of really small houses and its just completely different but i love it. Its a new expereince for me. I hope i go out to Dodge City or Garden City sometime cuz i heard that is a change as well.
Well i guess we had a few interesting stories. I forgot to tell you. I think it was on Sunday and we were tracting and this girl is jogging by and my comp told me to go talk to her but i was to shy and said no cuz she was runnning and stuff. And then i was just like AHHH i need to be more bold with my things. And then sometime later she came running down the other side of the street. So i was just like this is my opportunity and so i walked out the the street and we started jogging with her and we got a return appointment. It was so funny, but cool at the same time. I mean if i was jogging and some guys just started jogging with me talking im sure i would want them to come share something with me too haha. Jk. But seriously that was pretty cool.
Yesterday we visited a referall and taught him a lesson. Kind of... He was really out of it and we would ask him questions and he would just sit there. So idk if he was like drunk or something but he was just having a really hard time cuz his friends got deported and stuff. So we tried to share a message with him. It was just hard so were going to go back another day. Also i was feeling yesterday we needed to go talk to this guy named Juan. So we went over to his house and he came out and i just told him that We had a message for him. And that that was the reason i came back. So we started teaching and i thought it was going good and all. And then he kind of stopped us and told us he respected us but that he wasnt very interested, but he hoped that we have sucess in all we do. So that was kind of sad, but we will see how things go. We left him with a foyeto and a tarjeta with our numbers on them. So hopefully he will call us sometime.
Well i guess thats all thats going on. I love you all. Things are going great. Thanks for keeping me in your prayers.

Hey mom!!
THings are pretty sweet up here. The week has flown by, its ridiculous that its already wednesday and i leave in 5 days. I cant wait to get out of here. I want REAL food. haha. So my plane leaves at 8am on monday morning. and Im assuming i will get to the airport around 6 or so, so here is the deal. I will probably call then, but 6 our time is 5 your time... So its gonna be kinda early that i have to call you. I have a flight to Denver, 1 hour 20 min, then i have about an hour in denver and then fly to colorado springs, which is like 35 min. haha. Idk why they are doing that, but that is how its going to happen. But i was thinking i would probably call for sure in the morning before any flight, and then maybe in denver, i just dont know cuz i might want to use that time to grab something to eat. Cuz when i arrived at the Mtc and i didnt eat anything in the airport and i wanted to die that day. haha. So i will definately be eating something, plus its real food. ha.
This past week has actually been really awesome. Except i got sick, and i lost my voice for some reason, and on saturday it was the worst. We were in class and our teacher tells us he has a secret for us. So we were thinking it was another one of his things we need to know in the field, and then he is all "alright lets go, were going to the Referall Center" And i was like what? Cuz The referell center is only allowed if you come in on your free time or if your teacher takes you, its not required like it used to be. So i was freaking out cuz i had no voice, and he was just like you will do fine. So i was super nervous and didnt really want to do it at all. But we started and the first call REJECTED. haha. It was pretty funny, but i actually could kind of speak. So after an hour of doing it or so we wanted to keep doing it, so we came back after dinner, and i had a really cool experience. I ended up talking to this lady Donna for about 35 min or so. And i shared with her about the Restoration and a little bit of the plan of salvation. And it was the coolest experience cuz it just made me want to get out and teach people. And the cool thing was is everything i taught her she agreed with me, and she would say things and i would use what she said to answer some questions that she had. It was really cool.
Also, we had our last TRC which is teaching in spanish. And it was the best lesson we have EVER taught. It was so cool. I dont even remember what i said, cuz i'm pretty sure i wasnt saying it, the spirit was definately helping me out. My spanish is coming along, and i love talking in it, But i know im in for surprise when i get to colorado. My biggest problem is understanding Natives. It is so ridiculously hard. They speak so fast, but our teach said after the first transfer or two i should be able to understand haha.
And then for our last devotional that we had last night, guess what? We were visited by ANOTHER apostle of the Lord. It was incredible. L. Tom Perry came and spoke to us. It was so cool to be able to see two prophets of the Lord since i have been up here in the MTC. He spoke a lot about the BOM and how powerful it is and how we need to make it apart of our daily lives. Which is something i want to do, i need to become way more familiar with the scriptures. So i can just pull out a scripture whenever i need it.
So ya this past week has been filled with lots of great stuff. The spirit has been really strong, and today was the last time i probably will get to go to the temple. Cuz i dont have a temple in my mission and i dont how that will work. So that was kinda sad, But hopefully i will be able to go to the temple sometime.
So talk to you this weekend and monday.
