Hey mom!!

Ya the last week of that transfer was really fun. I kinda decided that my mission is gonna be a mission of firsts. That's why i wanna try like everything i possibly can. And now that I'm in Kansas i really wanna see a tornado or something crazy like that haha. But ya that family back in Alamosa was awesome. I went to say goodbye when i found out i was going to Dodge and Hmo gave me 20 bucks and was like grab something to eat, take care of yourself. I love them. I took a picture with them, so i will have to send that next week or something. They are an awesome family.

This week has been alright. Im not gonna lie, it is REALLY cool being in Dodge City. I love it, it is way different then Alamosa. But ya i have heard about the show Gunsmoke and everything. It's way fun up here in Dodge. Like in alamosa when i left it was like 65-70 degrees during the day. And here it's like 95-100. So it is pretty warm. When we drove out here there was nothing. All we saw was just like grass and sky forever. But when we got to Dodge there are a lot of hills in the city, and the housees are all built on them, so it's really cool. But it makes riding your bikes something to endure. haha. Here in Dodge we have 8 Spanish elder's and 2 english. There is only one english ward and a spanish branch. But we have dinner with the members, and the members feed all 8 of us. Haha. Its pretty crazy, but way awesome at the same time. The Elder's down here are really cool. One of the Elder's that came out with me is here with me again. But when we were in the mission home president switched him to spanish, he is from brazil and knows portugeise too. He is a really cool guy, Elder Varella. The member's are way cool. I was talking with a member who they are both from Veracruz Mexico, and they moved here like 5-7 years ago. So i told them about Stephen but they didnt remember a Kingsley. So they could have missed him or something idk. But they are a way cool family.

My Spanish is definately gonna get a lot better here. One thing that I have noticed here, is that it is the exact opposite of Alamosa. When i was in Alamosa, there were little spots where you knew Spanish lived and the rest were English. Here, There are spots where the English are and the rest are Spanish. Most of the doors we knock are Spanish, with a few english mixed in. And i love it, It is definately way cool. My new comp is Elder Kelley, he is white and really has only been out on his mission for 2 or 3 more months then me? And it has been interesting.. being with him. He is a good guy.

Oh ya!! So they have like 2 meat companies here where they slaughter like 3000 cows a day, EACH. It's crazy. And one thing they do like every week is they like boil the blood or something? So you get this nice RICH beautiful smell for a while. haah. It's cool. I like it up here a lot. I wish it wasn't super hot when we were tracting and stuff. But i heard it starts snowing in October. So if i am still here that will be interesting as well. I think were gonna try and get a tour of one of the meat factories. You get to see everything from the cow being butchered to it getting packaged!! :) I'm excited for that.

Wow i cant believe freddy is starting school, Everyone is starting school and it's so weird for me. I feel like everyone just got out of school and now they are back? Ya it's crazy tomorrow I'm at 5 months and then at the end of this transfer i will be at 6 and something. Time is going fast. But time in the mission is difficult to explain. Cuz sometimes the days go by really slow. And the weeks go by fast. But it's just weird how that all works. So ya, but i guess it doesnt feel like i have been gone for 5 months, that is for sure.

Glad to hear everyone is doing good. That sounds cool about the work out machine. I would be down to use it, but also when i get back I'm possitive I'm gonna start doing P90X again, cuz i saw really good results with that. I really need to start working out up here more. Hey so we have this really weird exercise bike in our apartment. It's like from the 70's and makes NO sense to me, haha. It doesnt work out anything. I will have to take a video of it cuz it's pretty intsense.

Weelll Things are going good up here. It's way fun and the people here are awesome. I love being with the Hispanic culture, learning something new everyday. Thank you for all your prayers, and i look forward to hearing from you next week.

Love Always,
Elder Kingsley
